đ¨ Abstract
A trainee police officer, Maryam Ilyas, was permanently banned from policing after she was found to have shared police data with her drug dealer boyfriend. Ilyas, who was 20, accessed and shared information about him on three occasions in 2025. She resigned before her misconduct hearing, which would have resulted in her dismissal. The disciplinary panel found her conduct to be repeated, sustained, and intentional, violating the public's expectation of honesty and integrity from police officers.
