💨 Abstract
A couple, Hannah Bird and Charlie, are building their own house in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, to save approximately £100,000. They bought a plot of land for £70,000 and are constructing a 140-square-metre home using polystyrene blocks filled with concrete, known as Insulated Concrete Framework (ICF). By doing most of the work themselves, they avoid £30,000 in labor costs.
