💨 Abstract

London's Metropolitan Police are intensifying efforts to combat crimes involving high-speed e-bikes. These bikes, often modified to exceed legal speed limits, are used by thieves to snatch phones, watches, and bags. The Met has deployed its own fleet of high-speed e-bikes and SUVs to pursue and apprehend offenders. In a recent operation, 16 illegal e-bikes were seized, and one individual was detained for a sexual offense.
