💨 Abstract
A woman, Amy Sheppard, avoided jail after causing a fatal crash due to an underinflated tire, which led to the deaths of her two sons, Louie (8) and Mason Ellis (6). The crash also seriously injured three others. Sheppard, a nursery nurse, was sentenced to 20 months suspended for two years. The judge noted her lack of intent and the minimal risk of further offending.
