💨 Abstract

In January 2022, Mike Freeman's life changed dramatically when his wife Kerry was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Despite initial optimism, Kerry's condition worsened, and she was given a grim prognosis. The family faced immense challenges, including a near-death experience and multiple hospitalizations. Kerry's strength and positivity inspired her family, and she even rallied briefly, giving them unexpected time together. Kerry passed away in November 2023.
