Bob Weir, a founding member of the Grateful Dead, passed away at 78 due to lung issues. Known for his eclectic style and improvisation, Weir was a key figure in the band, which disbanded in 1995. Despite this, the musicians continued to perform together in various bands. Weir's family described him as a storyteller whose music built a community and a sense of family among fans.
