💨 Abstract
During the alleged capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, the U.S. military reportedly used the Active Denial System (ADS), a non-lethal weapon that emits sound waves causing intense pain and incapacitation. Guards described feeling their heads explode and experiencing nosebleeds and vomiting. The ADS has been used before but never in combat. Other countries, like China, have used similar energy weapons.
