💨 Abstract
The author recounts their harrowing experiences as a child survivor of the Holocaust. Born in a Polish ghetto, they lost many family members to Nazi persecution. Their family was later sent to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, where they endured severe hardships. After liberation, they moved to England but struggled with the trauma of their experiences. The author later became a doctor and founded a support group for child Holocaust survivors. They emphasize the lasting impact of trauma and the importance of acknowledging the experiences of child survivors.
