💨 Abstract

Mehdi Mahmoudian, co-screenwriter of the Oscar-nominated film "It Was Just An Accident," has been arrested in Iran for condemning the country's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. The film, directed by Jafar Panahi, follows former Iranian political prisoners considering revenge on a potential tormentor. Panahi, also critical of the Iranian government, made the film without official permission.
