Ryan Routh, 59, was sentenced to life in prison for attempting to assassinate Donald Trump at his Florida golf course. Routh, a roofer and activist, was intercepted by the Secret Service before he could carry out the attack. He was found guilty of multiple charges, including attempted assassination and possession of firearms. Routh represented himself in court and made unusual statements, such as challenging Trump to a golf match.
