💨 Abstract
A couple in the Philippines, aged 22 and 19, attempted to sell their 12-day-old baby to fund a street food business. They were arrested in a sting operation after trying to sell the infant for £345. The parents face charges of human trafficking and child abuse, with potential sentences of 20 years to life in prison. The baby was rescued and transferred to a child care agency.
