💨 Abstract
A major revamp of London's Liverpool Street station, including a 97-meter tower block over the concourse, has been approved by the City of London's planning committee. The plans, which aim to future-proof the station for 200 million passengers, include a new five-star hotel and improved passenger facilities. Despite over 3,700 objections, the plans were approved by 19 votes to three.
