💨 Abstract
A man, Andrew Shephard, avoided prison after drunkenly throwing his daughter's three kittens into the River Thames. He pleaded guilty to animal cruelty. One kitten was saved before it fell in, while the other two were found alive but in shock. Shephard, who was intoxicated, admitted his actions and expressed remorse. The court suspended his 17-week prison sentence, ordering him to complete rehabilitation activities and pay fines.
