💨 Abstract
Police in Washington, D.C., arrested 18-year-old Carter Camacho from Georgia after he ran towards the U.S. Capitol holding a shotgun. Dressed in tactical gear, he was tackled and disarmed. Congress was not in session. Camacho's motive is under investigation. This incident follows previous arrests involving weapons near the Capitol, including an 84-year-old man in 2022 and a man who shot himself in 2021.
