💨 Abstract
The author struggled with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) from a young age, feeling inadequate due to societal beauty standards. Diagnosed at 18, she faced symptoms like facial hair, acne, fatigue, and weight gain, which led to feelings of insecurity and isolation. Insensitive comments from others exacerbated her struggles. Discovering women online who openly discussed their PCOS journeys helped her embrace her body and redefine femininity.
