💨 Abstract
After the killing of a key cartel leader in Mexico, heavily armed gang members were seen online, raising questions about their weaponry. The "Iron River" refers to the annual smuggling of 200,000 to 500,000 firearms from the U.S. into Mexico. Cartels use people with clean records to buy these weapons. They also modify commercial vehicles into "narco tanks" for local clashes and fighting against authorities.
