Scientists propose using a solar slingshot to study 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar object. The plan involves launching a 500kg probe in 2035 to reach 3I/ATLAS by 2085, using the sun's gravity for a speed boost. The probe would first visit Jupiter to slow down. The mission faces challenges, including extreme heat and the object's high speed, making close observation difficult.
