💨 Abstract
Mass graves have been found in Guadalajara, Mexico, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The violence is linked to drug cartel turf wars, with fears of further attacks as gangs vie for control. The region has seen numerous grim discoveries, including graves near Akron Stadium, where World Cup games will be played. Activists have found hundreds of bags with human remains. Despite the violence, FIFA's Gianni Infantino expressed confidence in Mexico's ability to co-host the games safely.
