💨 Abstract
A new study from the SETI Institute suggests that space weather, particularly from stars like red dwarves, might be "smearing" alien signals, making them undetectable. Traditional searches for extraterrestrial life focus on narrow signals, but space weather can broaden these signals, causing them to go unnoticed. The study proposes adjusting detection methods to account for this interference, offering hope for resolving the Fermi Paradox and explaining why alien life seems absent despite the universe's age.
