💨 Abstract

Detective Constable Lianne Gilbert revealed that Police Scotland shared her private data, including intimate images and medical records, with a colleague she accused of rape. The breach occurred in 2022 and has left her with PTSD and other health issues. Police Scotland was fined £66,000 by the Information Commissioner’s Office for mishandling sensitive information. Gilbert reported multiple abuse offenses in 2020, and the case remains under investigation.
