💨 Abstract
Kouri Richins, a 35-year-old mother of three, was convicted of murdering her husband, Eric Richins, to inherit over $4 million. She was also found guilty of attempted murder, insurance fraud, and forgery. Prosecutors revealed that Richins, deeply in debt, poisoned her husband with fentanyl and had previously attempted to kill him. She published a children's book about grief afterward. Richins will serve 25 years in prison.
