💨 Abstract
A British woman, Isabella Daggett, was released from a Dubai jail after serving nearly a year for drug-related charges, which were later dropped. She was fined £3,000 for overstaying her visa. Daggett, from Leeds, was arrested in March 2025 and held in detention despite the charges being dropped in January. She returned home amid Middle East travel disruptions. Her family expressed relief but frustration over the additional fine.
