đ¨ Abstract
An explosion at the Valero refinery in Texas caused gas prices to spike due to concerns over global oil supply amid the ongoing war in Iran. The refinery, which processes 435,000 barrels of oil daily, experienced a large explosion with no injuries reported. The incident led to a 10-cent increase in wholesale gas prices and a 16-cent increase in diesel prices.
