💨 Abstract
A survey reveals that AI-powered tools like chatbots are affecting young people's conversational and critical thinking skills. Two-thirds of secondary school teachers report a decline in students' critical thinking due to AI. Teachers also note that students increasingly rely on AI for homework, leading to cheating and reduced argument-forming abilities. Despite 76% of teachers using AI tools daily, concerns remain about accuracy and effectiveness, particularly in subjects like English.
