💨 Abstract
The U.S. Navy intercepted and seized an Iranian cargo ship, the Touska, in the Strait of Hormuz after it attempted to bypass a naval blockade. The USS SPRUANCE stopped the ship by damaging its engine room. The Touska is under U.S. Treasury sanctions due to past illegal activities. President Trump also accused Iran of violating a ceasefire agreement and threatened severe retaliation. Meanwhile, oil prices and stock markets reacted positively to Iran's brief reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
