💨 Abstract
Ascend Airways, a UK-based wet-lease carrier operating from Gatwick and Stansted airports, has ceased all flights due to economic pressures, including a jet fuel crisis caused by the conflict in Iran. The airline, which provided fully-crewed planes to other airlines, is returning its fleet of eight aircraft and surrendering its UK Air Operator’s Certificate. The Malaysian arm of Ascend Airways remains unaffected.
