đź’¨ Abstract

A Russian veteran, Aleksandr Lunin, was jailed for threatening to expose alleged mass murders and torture of soldiers on the frontline. He called for a live meeting with Vladimir Putin, warning that soldiers might turn against the Kremlin if their concerns aren't addressed. Lunin claimed soldiers are tortured for refusing "stupid or suicidal" orders. He was detained for displaying extremist symbols. Meanwhile, the UK's prime minister noted Ukraine's resilience against Russian attacks.
