Microsoft plans to release its next Xbox console, codenamed Project Helix, by Christmas 2028, potentially priced between $1,200 and $1,800 due to component costs. This follows a handheld device release in 2027. The high cost poses a challenge, as the current Xbox Series X/S has underperformed. Microsoft may need to subsidize costs or leverage exclusive games and subscriptions to compete with Sony's PS6.
