💨 Abstract
The London Underground has around 450 escalators, with varying lengths and heights. The longest and most notorious is at Angel station, measuring 61 meters in length and 27 meters in vertical rise. It's known for being intimidating and causing motion sickness or vertigo in some riders. The escalator is also prone to breakdowns, with potential closures for maintenance causing significant disruption. Despite its challenges, some Londoners have fond memories of the escalator.
