How upgraded L/70 guns, or 'original Bofors', became India's frontline defence against Pakistan UAVs
💨 Abstract
On May 8–9, Pakistan launched a significant drone offensive with 300-400 drones targeting Indian installations. India's air defense, utilizing upgraded L/70 anti-aircraft guns, thwarted the attack. These guns, originally from the 1940s, have been extensively modernized with electric drives, advanced electro-optical suites, and a Drone Guard System, enhancing accuracy and effectiveness against low-signature drones.
