đź’¨ Abstract
The US seized the oil tanker M/V Bella 1 in the North Atlantic for alleged sanctions violations. The tanker, linked to Venezuela and previously sanctioned, was part of an illicit shadow fleet used by Russia, Venezuela, and Iran. A few Indians might be among the crew. The US, with UK support, tracked and seized the vessel, which was not carrying oil. The seizure is part of US efforts to curb Venezuela's oil exports, following the capture of President Nicolas Maduro.
