đź’¨ Abstract

In 2025, South Asia faced significant geopolitical shifts. India and Pakistan engaged in an 87-hour confrontation following a terror attack, leading to a diplomatic standoff and the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. Pakistan's democracy weakened as the military gained more power. Bangladesh saw political turmoil and a shift in diplomatic alignments, while Nepal experienced youth-led protests leading to government changes. India recalibrated its approach to the Taliban, reopening its embassy in Kabul.
