Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser of Bangladesh's interim government, has suggested a possible tenure of at least four years due to the need for extensive reforms. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Yunus stated that the new Bangladesh will not be formed through elections alone but through reforms of the legal system, police system, and Constitution. He also dismissed reports of attacks against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh as propaganda originating from India.
