Palestine is seeking to join BRICS, a multilateral grouping including India, Russia, China, and South Africa, in an attempt to gain wider international recognition amid the Israel-Hamas conflict. India's decision is key as it maintains a balanced stance on the issue. Palestine is expected to submit an application to join after the October summit in Russia, during Brazil's presidency of the grouping in 2025.
