India is projected to reach new records in foodgrain production in 2025, with a kharif (summer) foodgrain production of 164.7 million tonnes. The agriculture sector is showing signs of recovery, driven by favorable monsoons, though challenges persist in pulses and oilseeds production. The horticulture sector has made significant progress, with record production of fruits and vegetables.
