India is projected to produce a record 1,647.05 lakh metric tonnes of Kharif crops for 2024-25, up from the previous year by 89.37 LMT and 124.59 LMT higher than average kharif foodgrain production. This increase is attributed to good production of rice, jowar, maize, and other crops.
