India's industrial production decreased by 0.1% in August 2024, primarily due to a decline in the mining and power generation sectors. The factory output had grown by 10.9% in August 2023. The National Statistical Office (NSO) reported that the mining sector's growth was affected by heavy rainfall in August 2024.
