💨 Abstract
The International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that a goal to triple global renewable energy capacity by 2030 and reduce fossil fuel use is achievable, but requires resolving challenges in permitting and grid connections. The IEA stated that this goal can be met due to favorable economics, ample manufacturing potential, and strong policies. However, more renewable capacity alone won't significantly reduce fossil fuel usage or lower consumer costs.
