💨 Abstract
A powerful storm with tropical-force winds hit Washington state, killing one person and injuring two. The storm caused power outages, disrupted road travel, and damaged the power system in British Columbia and northern California. Schools were closed and residents were urged to stay home due to fallen trees and power lines. The storm, known as a bomb cyclone, is expected to bring extreme rainfall to northern California.
