A hairstylist in Kolkata attempted suicide, alleging obstruction in her work due to a powerful lobby of technicians. The Directors Association of Eastern India (DAEI) has pledged support, stating they will ensure she gets projects she prefers. The hairstylist was suspended by her union in May for insubordination and indiscipline. A committee has been formed to investigate the allegations.
