💨 Abstract
Security forces in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district recovered and defused a 45 kg powerful improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxalites. The IED, with a command switch mechanism, was intended to target security forces' vehicles and could have caused a major tragedy. Maoists often plant IEDs along roads in the region's interior pockets, with civilians also falling victim in the past.
