💨 Abstract
Boilers in India's factories emit 182 million tonnes of CO2 annually, accounting for 7% of the country's total greenhouse gas emissions and a quarter of industrial emissions. These boilers also release more particulate matter (PM) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) than the entire automobile sector due to weak emission standards. A report suggests launching a "Green Boiler Mission" to promote cleaner energy sources.
