đ¨ Abstract
The Assam government plans to relocate the 10th Assam Police Battalion from Guwahati's city center to the outskirts, specifically to the Kachutali area in Sonapur, where a violent eviction drive occurred last September. The move aims to protect the area from future encroachment and utilize the land for government projects like a medical college or university. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has emphasized the need to prevent new non-tribal settlements and arrest land brokers.
