💨 Abstract
The Jammu and Kashmir branch of BJP expelled Shiv Dev Singh, an independent candidate running against the party's official nominee in Jammu north assembly segment. Singh was expelled for anti-party activities, and his expulsion is immediate, having been recommended by a disciplinary committee. Singh joined BJP after leaving Congress in May 2022, and he is one of 17 contestants for the seat.
