Delhi's air quality worsened to the 'poor' category on September 25, prompting the Centre to closely monitor the situation under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) Stage 1. The Commission for Air Quality Management reviewed the air quality and weather forecasts, and found that Delhi's AQI was already improving, dropping to 232 by 5 PM.
