💨 Abstract
The Indian government has directed all states and union territories to run a month-long awareness campaign starting June 1 to enhance understanding and implementation of the Forest Rights Act (FRA) 2006, aiming to benefit tribal and traditional forest communities. The campaign will educate stakeholders about their rights, claim-filing processes, and alleviation of pending claims. Chhattisgarh received the highest number of land claims, but many were also rejected, highlighting ongoing implementation challenges.
