đ¨ Abstract
A group of 16 foreign diplomats, including those from the US, Norway, and Singapore, arrived in Srinagar to observe Jammu and Kashmir's ongoing assembly elections. This is the first time foreign observers have been allowed to witness elections in the region since the eruption of terrorism. The Centre invited the delegates to showcase the peaceful poll process and good voter turnout since the Lok Sabha polls earlier this year.
