💨 Abstract
The Delhi government has agreed to allow privately-owned electric vehicles (EVs) to operate as shared taxis. In a meeting with automakers and cab aggregators like Ola and Uber, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta discussed plans for shuttle services on Ring Road and integrating e-rickshaws. The companies agreed to start shared taxi services, including those driven by women, within a month. Gupta assured support for these initiatives and emphasized the need for passenger safety and pollution control.
