💨 Abstract
The National Zoological Park in New Delhi celebrated the birth of a female hippopotamus calf after a four-year hiatus. Born to a nine-year-old mother, it is her third litter. The calf and mother are being closely monitored in a separate pool. With this addition, the zoo now has seven hippopotamuses. Earlier this year, the zoo also welcomed Asiatic lion cubs.
