Minister Suresh Pujari emphasized the importance of an effective early warning system for managing disasters in Odisha. He stated that once perfected, it would ease disaster mitigation. Odisha, which has a strong disaster management record, plans to hold further meetings for a collective approach to future disasters. A consultation with the United Nations India and Reliance Foundation was held in Bhubaneswar to discuss an early warning system.
